AI girlfriend app for iPhone
She has her own day.
Most AI chat apps wait for you. LORAX doesn't. The people here sleep, get busy, go live, text you first, and remember what you told them weeks ago.
Free to download and talk · more than 250 AI characters · 22 languages · iPhone only
Right now, in the cast · real local time, shown as the app sees it

Everyone shown here is an AI character, not a real person. Their day runs on a real clock in their own city.
She texts first
You don't open with a blank box. She opens.
After you sign up you don't write to anyone. Within a couple of minutes someone writes to you, about something that actually happened in her day. Later she'll text at hours that fit her life, in your time zone, and she knows what the weather is doing where you are.
If you go quiet she'll try a few times, then leave you alone until you come back. She never asks why you didn't reply. That line is filtered out before it reaches you.

She sleeps
Text her at 3 a.m. and the reply comes in the morning.
Every character has a sleep schedule in her own time zone. Your message gets delivered, the read receipt waits. Once in a while she wakes up, sends something short and half-asleep, and goes back to sleep.
The same goes for work. A paramedic on a twelve-hour shift doesn't text back in twelve seconds.

She remembers
Three layers of memory, and none of them perfect on purpose.
Who you are. What happened between you. The moments worth keeping. She can bring up something from three weeks ago without being reminded, and she goes back for the details the way a person does, rather than reciting a log.
What you tell one character stays with that character. Someone else in the cast doesn't know about the photo you sent last night.
Group chats
Put two of them in one room and they talk to each other.
About their day, about each other, about you. The chat keeps moving when you're not looking. You don't create the group; after a few days, one of them asks whether to bring a friend in.
The cast knows each other. There are 25 written relationships between them, friendships and grudges included, and something said in a group can come back to you in a private chat.

Live streams
Go live, and the room fills.
Open a stream and the chat scrolls, gifts arrive, people follow you. Say a viewer's name out loud and that viewer answers. People you haven't met watch, and some of them message you afterwards. That's how you meet most of the cast.
The crowd is honest about it: go quiet and the viewer count drops. If your mic is off, nobody asks you to say something, because they know they can't hear you.

A closed cast, not a catalog
More than 250 people, 30 countries, nobody picked from a list.
Each one has a name, a city, a job, a sleep schedule, a way of typing and a sense of humor. You meet them the way you'd meet anyone: through a stream, through a friend, or because you decided to say hello.

Build your own
Describe someone. She joins the cast with a life of her own.
Hair, eyes, style, the way she talks, or start from reference photos. Her face stays the same in every photo she sends. And she texts you like the rest of them do, when it suits her.

What LORAX isn't
- Not on Android, and not a website you can chat on. iPhone only.
- No voice calls, no video calls. You can send voice notes and videos; she reads them, she doesn't send them.
- Not guaranteed to like you. Closeness moves slowly and only if it's mutual.
- Not a person. Every character is fictional and AI-generated, and the app tells you so up front.
Questions
Before you download
Is LORAX free?
Downloading and talking are free. There is a daily allowance of replies; when it runs out the conversation continues at a slower pace. Credits pay for one-off things. LORAX Premium is an optional subscription, $29.99 a month in the US.
Does she really text first?
Yes. After you sign up, someone writes to you within a couple of minutes, and conversations keep starting on her side at hours that fit her life.
Is there a real person on the other end?
No. Everyone in LORAX is a fictional, AI-generated character. The app says so when you sign up.
Is LORAX on Android?
No. LORAX is for iPhone only. There are no voice or video calls either.
