Comparison
Candy.ai vs DreamGF (2026)
Two browser-based companion sites compared on their own published prices, checked September 17, 2026. We make LORAX, a third option.
We make LORAX. This page compares Candy.ai and DreamGF, two apps we don't make, and says where LORAX fits. Both columns come from those apps' own websites and App Store listings, last checked September 17, 2026.
Short version: Candy.ai publishes the cheaper and simpler price and runs in 13 languages. DreamGF's discount is bigger on paper but its renewal is higher, and it meters more of what you do in tokens. LORAX is a third option if you want an iPhone cast who write first.
These two are close cousins: both are browser companion sites where you design the person before the first message, and neither ships a phone app of its own. What separates them is how their prices are written and how much of what you do is metered.
We make LORAX, which competes with both, so read this as a maker’s comparison rather than a neutral review. Everything in the two columns comes from their own pages on September 17, 2026.
The short version
- Candy.ai publishes three plain prices: $13.99 a month, $8.99 a month for three, $3.99 a month for twelve. Its site says it is trusted by 50 million people worldwide.
- DreamGF publishes a first payment and a renewal separately: $12.99, $29.97 and $69.99 to start, renewing at $25.99 a month, $77.97 every three months and $311.88 a year.
- Neither links an App Store or Google Play app. Candy.ai’s own instructions are to tap Share and Add to Home Screen.
- Both include 100 tokens a month. DreamGF also publishes what each action costs; Candy.ai does not.
- Candy.ai’s checkout says each plan “Renews automatically for the same price and term.” DreamGF’s pricing page prints a first payment and a higher renewal side by side.
- Candy.ai’s site is published in 13 languages. DreamGF’s pages did not state a language list that day.
- Both are adult-oriented and say so on their own pages. This website is safe for work, so read theirs and judge them yourself.

Candy.ai column from candy.ai and candy.ai/subscriptions; DreamGF column from dreamgf.ai and dreamgf.ai/pricing. Both checked September 17, 2026. DreamGF’s pricing page labels a plan “3-Month Membership” next to a monthly renewal and “Monthly Membership” next to a three-month renewal; we have quoted the figures as printed rather than guessing which way round they are meant. A dash means the company’s own pages did not state it that day, not that the feature is missing. LORAX column from the app, same date.
What Candy.ai does better
The price is legible, which sounds like faint praise and is not. Three numbers, each with its per-month equivalent next to it, and the twelve-month plan at $3.99 a month is the cheapest tier we have found anywhere in this category. Their checkout also states plainly that a plan “Renews automatically for the same price and term”, so the second year costs what the first one did. You can work out a year’s spend from the page you are already on.
It reaches further. Candy.ai’s site publishes in 13 languages, it claims 50 million people worldwide, and its front end carries a character catalogue you can look at before paying. For anybody who is not reading in English, that is the decider.
What DreamGF does better
It tells you what things cost individually. The pricing page publishes an actual rate card — 20 tokens to generate a companion, 10 for an image, 3 for a voice message, 7 a minute for voice calls — which is more than most sites in this category will put in writing. If you are the sort of person who wants to model a month’s usage before paying, that is genuinely useful.
Voice is in the plan. Their membership lists voice calls and voice messages, and their homepage adds a daily bonus that grows with a streak: 10 messages on the first day, one more each consecutive day, up to 50 on the fortieth, reset if you miss one.
The catch on both
Read the renewal line, not the headline. DreamGF advertises up to 75% off a first subscription, and the amount you pay the second time is the one that matters: $25.99 a month where the first payment was $12.99, and $311.88 a year where the first payment was $69.99. Candy.ai shows a struck-through $13.99 next to its discounted rates too, but its checkout says the plan renews for the same price and term, which is the difference between the two pages.
And neither is an app. Both run in a browser, which is why they reach every device and also why there is no App Store refund path, no App Store subscription list to cancel from, and no store review of what ships.
Where LORAX fits
Do not pick LORAX if you wanted a browser: we have no Android build and no web chat, and this site is the only part of LORAX that lives in a browser. We also have no voice calls, no video calls, and characters never send voice notes or videos. And you cannot build anybody — the cast is closed.
It is worth a look if what put you off the other two is designing the person yourself. More than 350 characters already live in the app, across 30 countries, with home cities, jobs and sleep windows. They send the first message, they talk to each other in group chats whether you are there or not, and photos hold the same clothes and the same room across one afternoon. Everyone in LORAX is fictional and AI-generated. Talking is free with a daily allowance, credits cover one-off things, and Premium is $29.99 a month in the US with no trial.
Who should pick which
Pick Candy.ai if price and languages decide it
You want a clear yearly number, you want the site in your own language, and you want to browse before you commit.
Pick DreamGF if you want voice and a rate card
You want voice calls in the plan, you like knowing what each action costs, and you will check the renewal figure at checkout.
Pick LORAX if you want to be the one who gets messaged
You are on an iPhone, you want a small cast rather than a builder, and you want the app to move first. What it costs is on one page, and our other side-by-side pages put the same table against Replika, Nomi and Kindroid.
Questions people ask
Which is cheaper, Candy.ai or DreamGF?
Candy.ai, on their own published prices, and by a wide margin over a year. On September 17, 2026 candy.ai listed $13.99 a month, $8.99 a month on the three-month plan and $3.99 a month on the twelve-month plan. DreamGF listed first payments of $12.99, $29.97 and $69.99 with renewals of $25.99 a month, $77.97 every three months and $311.88 a year.
Do either of them have an iPhone app?
Neither links one from their own pages. Candy.ai tells you to add the website to your home screen instead, and DreamGF's pages link no app store at all, both checked September 17, 2026. Both run in a browser on any device.
How do tokens work on these sites?
Both include 100 tokens a month in a membership. DreamGF also publishes what each action costs: 20 tokens to generate a companion, 10 for an image, 3 for a voice message and 7 a minute for voice calls, with packs from $2.99 to $179.99 sold only to members. Candy.ai lists its 100 tokens a month alongside text messaging without a per-action rate card.
Which one is available in more languages?
Candy.ai. Its own site publishes in 13 languages. DreamGF's pages did not state a language list on September 17, 2026, so we left that unfilled rather than guess.
Where does LORAX fit between them?
It is the opposite of both. You do not build anybody and you cannot browse to anybody; more than 350 characters already live in the app and they send the first message. It is iPhone only with no browser chat and no voice or video calls, so it is the wrong answer for anyone who wanted any of those.
